About the wine

Tasting notes

Intense crème de cassis, graphite, damp earth, cedarwood, violets, and acacia flowers surround a core of full-bodied fruit richness, balanced perfectly and textured by a plethora of firm yet ultra-fine tannins. This is one to hold for 50 years or more.

The Grape

Bordeaux Blend

Bordeaux Blends are made up of a combination of traditional grapes found in the region of Bordeaux. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are the dominant varieties used in these blends, but you'll also find Petit Verdot, Malbec, Carménère and other supporting grapes. The firm, structured and tannic Left Bank Bordeaux reds are typically Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, whereas the more juicy, lush and approachable Right Bank Bordeaux reds have Merlot as their primary grape. These wines are some of the world's greatest expressions and have been made to last decades!
