2020 Cannibal Creek Rosé (Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon)

Tasting notes

Clear orange and bronze in the glass with aromas of stonefruit blossoms, pink rose, strawberries and cream gums, bramble berries, charred orange, mandarin pith, some interesting tangy herbals, sumac, hazelnut and brine. A gentle hum of hickory hides in the background.In the mouth it’s clean, juicy, refreshing and bursts with brightness. Pomelo, sour cherry, cranberry, sugar plum, suggestions of nectarine and underripe strawberry zing with life and energy, while a fast moving current of lean and juicy acidity sweeps the fruit into a dry midpalate. It ends as if with a full stop, leaving a breath of fruity overtones and a subtle yeastiness. Freakin delicious!!
