A rare Cabernet Sauvignon Rose that overdelivers in many ways.Fruit for this Rose was hand picked at Peg Leg Vineyard in Eaglehawk, Bendigo. Soil consists of creek gravels as a result of this area being dredged for gold in 1915.The 2022 vintage saw the picking of Cabernet Sauvignon delayed by 2-3 weeks due to a cooler growing season, as experienced by a ‘La Nina’ year. This is an actually blessing for making Rose wine were fruit flavour and natural acidity can develop more slowly to give more complex fruit profile and aromas to the resulting wine.

Cabernet Sauvignon

A red grape variety that is responsible for the most expensive wines on the planet...some fetching over $100, 000 per bottle!!! It is also the worlds most popular style of wine and produces age worthy and concentrated expressions that show notes of potpourri, cassis, black cherry, blackberry, mulberry, raspberry, leafy herbals, green pepper, baking spices, charcoal, graphite and cedar. Most famous for the first growth wines from the Left Bank in Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon is often used as a primary variety for red blends designed to last decades and is a must have style for any serious collector.
